Mrs. Ethelmae M. Brubaker, 64, of Box 306, Duncanville RD 1, died at 4:15 p.m. Saturday, April 15, 1989, at Altoona Hospital, after a brief illness.

Mrs. Brubaker retired as a clerk-typist from the Blair County Recorders Office, in 1985, after 13 years' service.
She was born Feb. 24, 1925, in Hollidaysburg, the daughter of John and Florence (Helsel) Barr, and Aug. 24, 1947, in Cumberland. Md., married 0. Dean Brubaker.

Surviving are her husband, two children: Robert D. of Juniata and Nancy M., at home, and three grandchildren. Also surviving are nine brothers and sisters: Mary Gummo and Theodore of Las Vegas, Nev.; James in Kansas, Clair of Hubbard, Ohio; Harold and John of West Middlesex, Julia McIntyre of Philadelphia, Jean McCloskey of Ashville and Verna Drummond of Tyrone RD 2.

Mrs. Brubaker was a member of the Carson Valley Church of the Brethren, where she was a member of the Always Ready Sunday school class.

She was also a member of the Horseshoe Drifters Camping Club.

Mrs. Brubaker was a graduate of Hollidaysburg High School and Altoona School of Commerce.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Plank & Stitt Funeral Home, Hollidaysburg, and 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Carson Valley Church of the Brethren.

BRUBAKER - Services for Ethelmae M. Brubaker of Box 306, Duncanville RD 1, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Carson Valley Church of the Brethren, by Pastor Roy C. Myers. Interment at Carson Valley Cemetery. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Plank & Stitt Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg. and 10 a.m. until time of services Wednesday at the church.
A daughter, Shirley J. Walters. died May 24, 1978. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 326 Allegheny St., Hollidaysburg, Pa.. 16648, or American Diabetes Association. 1207 12th Ave., Room 216. Altoona, Pa. 16601.
