Agnes "Aggie" Constance Anderson passed away unexpectedly while visiting her daughter, M., at Deer River, MN, on Monday, October 1, 1990, at the age of 80 years, two months and 23 days.

Agnes Constance Anderson, the daughter of the late Conrad and Mary (Haugeland) Anderson, was born July 8, 1910, in Deerwood Township, Kittson County, near Karlstad. She attended school and grew to womanhood in the Karlstad community. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.

On January 30, 1930, she was united in marriage to Otto Anderson at Warren. Following their marriage, the couple farmed in Wanger Township, Marshall County, for 30 years. In 1960, they retired from farming and moved into Karlstad. Otto passed away May 13, 1982. She was a lifelong member of the Salem Lutheran Church near Stephen and active in church affairs. She was also an active member of the Karlstad Senior Citizens. She had been employed at the former Arctic Enterprises in Karlstad for several years.

Surviving are one son, D., Argyle; two daughters, M. Becklund, Deer River, and E., Mrs. H. Schmidt, Karlstad; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; brother, E., Stephen; sister, Viola, Mrs. Earnest Erickson, Longview, WA; in addition to several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one son, Wendell in 1971; two brothers, Wesley and Ingvald; one grandson and one great-granddaughter.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Friday, October 5, at the Salem Lutheran Church near Stephen with Pastor Henry Moyer officiating. Burial was in the Salem Church Cemetery. Her many friends in attendance served as honorary bearers. Casket bearers were grandsons: D., D., J., and J. Anderson, M. Schmidt, and B., B., and B. Becklund. Pastor Peter Schmidt sang "I Was There to Hear Your Borning Cry" and "Be Not Afraid" with Grace Frei at the organ. The congregation sang "Children of the Heavenly Father."

Collins Funeral home of Karlstad was in charge of arrangements.
