DIED IN HOSPITAL
Capt. J. W. Bertelsman, 32, son of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Bertelsman, 5 Custis Avenue, Ft. Thomas, Ky., and husband of Mrs. Mary Belle Bertelsman, 511 West Tenth Street, Newport, Ky.
Capt. Bertelsman died at Nichols General Hospital, Louisville, Sunday, of a head ailment. Bertelsman had been operated on Friday for the disorder. Before entering the Army two years ago Capt. Bertelsman was assistant Campbell County probation officer. The captain was stationed in Greenland as an administrative officer for 13 months and the rest of his Army duty was spent in the states. He was confined in five Army hospitals during his illness. His father is former sheriff of Campbell County and he was a cousin to of Judge Odis W. Bertelsman.
