Phenix City, AL – Dorothy Nell Adams, 71, died Saturday, August 5, 2000 at the Canterbury Health Facility in Phenix City, AL. //The family will hold a private memorial service. //She is survived by one daughter, Kay Slocumb of Phenix City; a grandson, Ray Slocumb, as well as by a son and three grandsons, several sisters and brothers. //She was comforted in her last days by the Rev. Colley Williams, Danny Davenport and Emitt and Gail Batchelor of the Anchored in Christ Ministries, as well as by the Rev. Emily Bel of the MCC Church. //In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her memory to: Hospice of East Alabama Medical Center, 2000 Pepperell Parkway, Opelika AL 36802-3201. //The family extends special thanks to Kim Hendrix of Hospice for the wonderful care and compassion shown our family during her illness.
