James Reuben Cox, 78, died at his home in Jensen Monday at 6:10 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday in the Jensen Ward Chapel.
Mr. Cox was born February 13, 1875, in Rochester, Indiana. He later moved to Kansas, where he was a baker. He moved to Jensen upon his retirement two years ago. He married Francis Jenkins Cox.
Friends may call at the Vernal Mortuary Thursday evening. Burial will be in the Jensen Cemetery under the direction of the Vernal Mortuary.
Survivors include his widow, three children, Florence Edwards, Crecent City, California; Kenneth Myrel Cox, Grand Junction, Colorado and Grace Cox Roberts, Owensburrough, Kentucky; a brother Carl Cox, Michigan; a sister, Grace Cox Metcalf; Ulyssey, Kansas; four stepchildren and seven grandchildren.

James Reuben Cox is the son of Elizabeth "Lizzie" Jane Parsons Cox and Abijah Cox buried in Rooks County, Kansas.
James Reuben Cox married first Lluella Blackledge in 1895. She died in 1909 when Russell was born.
He married Francis Jenkins.
