Bob was a co-owner of the Chamberlain Fisher Funeral Homes in Adel, Redfield, and Van Meter. He was on the Adel City Council in 1976 and 1977 and served as Mayor in 1978 and 1979. He was a member of Adel Rotary and Van Meter Lions Club. He loved to fish with "the claw and dirty i" and hunt and eat in the south. He was the head of the family, always.
Bob is survived by his wife, Lenora, five children, Rob Chamberlain, Chris Jorgenson, Carolyn Chamberlain, Connie Annear and Shawn Chamberlain; 15 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren; former wife, Barbara; two sisters, Wilma Thompson and Mary Lou Symmonds; and one brother C. J. Chamberlain. He was preceded in death by his parents and three infant children.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested contributions be made to American Cancer Society.
