US ARMY WORLD WAR II, KOREA

Wilfred J. "Bill" Haight, 71, of Union Springs died Monday at Auburn Memorial Hospital.

Born in Auburn, he was a former resident of Aurelius. He attended Central High School, Auburn. He was an Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He retired as a self-employed television and audiovisual equipment technician in Union Springs. He formerly worked at Standard Tank and Manufacturing Co., Smith Tent and Awning Co., Cowles Chemical Co., Cayuga Garage and the Union Springs school district.

He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, the Frontenac Historical Society in Union Springs, the Rusty Hinge Program and the Auburn YMCA. He was a volunteer for SCAT Van services.

Survivors: His wife, the former Marianne Wiley; two daughters, Donna H. Halverson and Mary Lou Haight, both of Union Springs; two sons, James M. of Riegelwood, N.C., and Wesley J. of Rochester; a sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Buckingham of Auburn; eight grandchildren.

Services: 3 p.m. Saturday in Trinity United Church of Christ. Burial, Lakeview Cemetery, Cayuga. No calling hours. Langham Funeral Home, Auburn, has arrangements.
