Frances Elizabeth Beisly, 90, formerly of Sheldon and Nevada, passed from this life on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Heartland of Willow Lane Nursing Home in Butler, MO following a lengthy illness. Frances was born February 11, 1924 in Casey, IA to Stephen B. and Grace M. (Brewer) Karhoff. She was united in marriage to Murry William Beisly on March 20, 1940 in Lamar, MO and he preceded her in death on January 15, 1996.

Frances came with her family to Vernon County at a young age where she attended Sheldon High School. Following high school she worked at the Nevada State Hospital and later the Nevada City Hospital for many years. Frances was a devoted caregiver and also provided private nursing care for a time. In 1971 she moved to Payette, ID and began working for Ore-Ida Foods Inc. in Ontario, OR as the plant nurse until her retirement in 1977. Frances returned to Nevada in 1994. She has resided in Butler for the past three years. Frances attended the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Nevada.

Survivors include two daughters, Donna Charlene (McGee) Stupheit, Ontario, OR, and Carolyn Wynes and her husband Dick, Laramie, WY; five grandchildren, Dennis M. (Denny) McGee, Tammy Smith, Murry Wynes, Geoffery Applegate and Charisse Place; 10 great grandchildren; one sister, Mary Alice Wilson, Nevada; numerous nieces and nephews, including Linda Conrad, Nevada and Mary Buckner, Sheldon. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, nine sisters, two brothers, and one daughter, Barbara Rae Applegate.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 2, 2015 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Nevada with Father Matthew Benjamin officiating. Interment will be held in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Nevada. A rosary service will held at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday evening with visitation following until 7:00 p.m. at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada.

Those who wish may contribute in her memory to St. Mary’s Catholic Church “Building Fund” in c/o Ferry Funeral Home.
