Mrs. Farrar is survived by daughters: Barbara Harvey Fritz & Billie Harvey Lloyd of Gastonia; son & daughter-in-law, Don C. and Kathy Black Farrar of Gastonia; brothers, Jeff Brooks of Lake Lure, Pete Brooks of Dallas, NC; 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Jewel Bryant, Ruby Shubert and Violet Cash and brothers, Otis, Bill and John Brooks.
Funeral was at the Ward Funeral Home on June 5, 2001. Visitation was at both the funeral home and at the home of son, Don Farrar, 402 N. Pine St.,Gastonia, NC.
