B-26B Marauder aircrew member assigned to the 450th Bomber Squadron, 322nd Bombardment Group (Medium), 9th Air Force, U.S. Army Air Forces, World War II; European Theater of Operations (Andrews Field, England). He was the Radio Operator/Gunner on B-26B-30-MA (Tail Number/Serial #41-31888) "War Eagle".

It was reported that on a bombing mission his plane took a direct hit in the cockpit and was observed to crash and explode 1 mile east of the target, Zulpich, Germany. No chutes were spotted. Other crew members: Lt Wallerstein, Lt. Jack W. Cox, Lt. Lyle A. Taggert, S/Sgt John R. Mackett, and S/Sgt Joseph M. Mischik.
