James R. "Jimmy" Callaway, age 59, died Sept 10, 1993.
A native of floyd County, Mr. Callaway was the son of the late Charles Joel and Betty Scott Callaway. Jimmy was a well known professional country music guitarist having served for Opry members Jack Green and the late Ernest Tubb.
Survivors include his wife Mary, one son Scotty Joel Callaway of Hephzibah, Ga. One sister, Mildred Carver of Rome; three brothers, Howard T. Callaway of Rome, Charles Eugene Callaway of Ft. Bragg, CA and Robert Clinton Callaway of Antioch, CA. Two grandchildren also survive.
