Mr. Collier was a native of Cohoes, N.Y., and a longtime resident of Bay St. Louis. He was a member of Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II. He retired from G.E. at NASA and was a member of American Legion Post No. 139, VFW Post 03253, Bay St. Louis and Ausable Lodge No. 243 F&AM Michigan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Dora Collier; two stepsons, Clayton Thompson Jr. and Michael Thompson; and two brothers, Olmar Collier and Daniel Collier.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Farve Collier of Bay St. Louis; five daughters, Kim Todd of Gonzales, La., Linda Kingston and Virginia Oliver, both of Bay St. Louis, Joan Petree of Garland, Texas, and Karen Thompson of Waveland; two stepsons, Rodney Thompson of Bay St. Louis and Bryan Thompson of Waveland; 25 stepgrandchildren; and four stepgreat-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis where friends may call two hours before service time. Burial will be in Gulf Coast Memorial Cemetery and Mausoleum in Bay St. Louis.
