Funeral services for Michael Evan Gartman, 36, of Lucedale, were held April 26 at Wilmer United Methodist Church in Wilmer, Ala., at 2 p.m.
He was a native of Mobile County and a member and chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Wilmer United Methodist Church. He graduated at Mary G. Montgomery High School in 1976. He was owner of Mike Gartman Custom Builders. He died unexpectedly April 24, 1994 in Lucedale. (Heart attack)
He is survived by his wife, Almarie Rouse Gartman; a son, Evan Rouse Gartman; and his parents, Kinnie and Annibel Gartman.
Other survivors include a sister, Karen Parden; three brothers, Rev. Andy Gartman, Johnny Gartman and Bradley Gartman; two nephews, Drew Gartman and Kurt Gartman, and a number of aunts and uncles.
Services were conducted by Rev. Richard Monroe and Rev. Charles Fail. Interment was in the Wilmer, Ala., Cemetery.
Pallbearers included Phillip Randall Pate, Michael Washam, Steve Guin, Mitchell Shumock, Paul McFarland and Sam Ikner.
