I believe Paul's father is Horace Foredie Cross, and that he is buried in Whistler, Alabama.
A number of Horace's family members are buried in Oakland cemetery, including his mother Nancy(my 4th great-grandmother), his brother Edwin, and several nieces and nephews. If Paul Joseph's father was "Horace F Cross" then I have no doubt this is the right individual. (Paul's brother, Melvin's middle initial "F" might also be Foredie).
Evidently there was a divorce (not common back then, but not unheard of). Nonnie Raspbury remarried a Walsh, and Horace remarried Emily Allen in 1888. They had no children. Horace died in May of 1941 and is buried in Whistler Cemetery. There is no find-a-grave record for him there, I just have his Alabama death record:
