Letha W. Adams of Atlanta, GA, formerly of Bedford, IN, died January 23, 2002, in Atlanta, GA. Born on June 10, 1921, in Branson, CO, she was the daughter of W. Elmer and Beatrice (Swain) Humphrey. She married Chester Adams, and he survives.
Surviving with her husband of Fayetteville, GA, are are two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald G. and Pam Adams of Peachtree City, GA, and Kenneth W. and Harla Sue Adams of Oviedo, FL; one brother and sister-in-law, E. Edger and Lee Humphrey of Clinton, IN; four grandchildren, one niece, one nephew, and several great nieces and nephews.
She and her husband managed the Indian Creek Baptist Camp from 1960-1972, and she worked in Food Service for the Bedford North Lawrence High School from 1971-1983. She also taught in the BNL Vocational School for 13 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Bedford Quilters Guild, First Baptist Quarry Quilters, Sunday school teacher, past state president of Baptist Youth Fellowship, Edna Martin Mission Circle, Indiana Teachers Association, and Lawrence County Teachers Association.
Services for Letha Adams were Monday, January 28th at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Terre Haute.
