John L. BITTERS,73,former owner-manager of the Big Run pool hall,died unexpectedly Thursday of a heart attack.
Mr. BITTERS was found late Thurday by a group of searchers in the woods near a minesite one-quarter mile west of Big Run.It is judged he died about 1:20 PM of a coronary occlusion.He left his home Thursday morning and when he did not return at the accustomed time a search was instituted with volunteers under the direction of Murray Ralston,Big Run fire chief.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 PM in the McCracken Funeral Home in Big Run.The Rev.Billy Joe Manuel will officiate & interment will be in the McClure Cemetery in Big Run.

Mr.Bitters was born February 27,1899 in Reynoldsville,a son of Albert and LaVerne KUNSELMAN Bitters and he was married to Margaret LENTO in October 1928. Surviving,in addition to his wife,are a daughter & son; Mrs.Peggy BUFFINGTON,of Big Run, and John L.(Jack)Bitters,Jr.of Charleston,S.C.
