John Hopkins 1613-1654, Stephen Hopkins 1636-1689, Ebenezer Hopkins 1668-1711, Ebenezer Hopkins 1699-1784, Tabitha Hopkins 1745-after 1788, wife of Dr. Abiathar Millard, mother of Phoebe Millard and grandmother of Millard Fillmore.

Jared's cousin was Col. Mark Loren/Lorin Ireland 1880-1963 who is buried in Arlington National Cemetery. Their great grandfather was Philander Hopkins 1794-1861 who fought at Fort Niagara during the War of 1812. Philander lived in Lockport and Somerset, NY for awhile after the war, finally settling in Michigan.
