Marlin J. Longstreth, age 77, of Midland, Michigan, died November 20, 2006 at his home.

Marlin Longstreth, known as "Mutt," was born August 6, 1929 in Flint the son of the late Russell and Mildred (Gwe) Longstreth. Marlin attended schools in Beaverton and graduated from Beaverton High School.

Mutt Longstreth served in the United States Navy during the Korean War delivering aircraft from the west coast to various staging areas.

Upon his return he was employed 24 years with the Dow Chemical Company, retiring in 1982.

Marlin Longstreth was a member of St. Brigid Catholic Church and the American Legion Post 165 of Midland.

He was survived by: his wife Dorothy Longstreth whom he married on June 27, 1953 in Midland, sons Michael (Michelle) Longstreth of Battle Creek, Steven (Lori) Longstreth of Midland, grandchildren: Kevin Jr., Justin, Kaylin, Kaylob, McKenzie, Lori Jo, Mike II, and Liberty, great grandchildren: Holiday, Amya, and Lindy. Brothers and sisters: Russell (Christina) Longstreth of Midland, Ronald (Val) Longstreth of Beaverton, Jerry (Linda) Longstreth of Coleman, Mabel Evans of Beaverton, Velma (Robert) Hudson of Beaverton, Shirley (Richard) Swanton of Beaverton, Rose (Robert) Hanks of Taylorville, IL.

He was preceded in death by sons, Kevin J. Longstreth and Robin Longstreth.

Funeral: St. Brigid Catholic Church. Father James Wm. Bessert officiated with rite of internment in Midland Memorial Gardens with full military honors.
