WILLARD Z. POTTER
Willard Z. Potter, 67, 411 Cleveland Avenue, Attalla, died at 10 a.m. yesterday at the residence after a short illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow in Collier-Butler Chapel with the Revs. M.S. Cunningham and A.A. Houghton officiating.
Burial will be in Forrest Cemetery, Collier-Butler Funeral Home directing.
Active pallbearers will be Austin Thacker, J.D. Smith, Jr., Maurrel Dye, Walter Hammett, Wally Ruud and Aaron Collett.
Honorary pallbearers will be Albert Girten, Sr., Dr. Hoyt Lumpkin, Dr. W.W. Rowan, employees of the machine and finishing departments of Attalla Pipe & Foundry, members of the Bailey Smith Sunday School Class of Cherry Street Baptist Church, Attalla, and all personal friends.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nell Potter; two sons, Ray Potter, Gadsden, and Harold Potter, Attalla; two brothers, B.M. and J.M. Potter, both of Boaz; one sister, Mrs. Jim Odell, Boaz, and one grandchild.
Mr. Potter was a native of Marshall County and a resident of Etowah most of his life. He was a member of Cherry Street Baptist Church and had been employed for 41 years as a machinist with Attalla Pipe & Foundry.
The body will remain in Collier-Butler Chapel through the hour of services.
