Connard Neil Ellis, 73, of Odessa, died Jan. 13, 1999, at his residence. He was born Nov. 27, 1925, in Eastland.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, 1999, at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors with Rev Bob Bratcher officiating. lnterment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
Mr. Ellis moved to Odessa in 1951. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. Mr. Ellis retired from El Paso Products and was a member of Crescent Park Baptist Church. He married Dorothy Nell Hazard in Eastland in 1948. He married Dorothy Dobbs Byrd in February of 1996.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Nell Ellis; son, Gary Lee Ellis; parents, M.C. and Martha Flowers Ellis; and a brother, Donald Ellis.
Mr Ellis is survived by his wife, Dorothy of Odessa; sons, Michael Neil Ellis, Terry William Ellis and wife, Dawn Marie, all of Odessa; brother, Harold "Bud" Ellis and wife, Glendena, of Snyder; sisters, Joyce Taylor of Cisco and Leona Schobel and husband, Sonny, of Wimberley; grandchildren, Jennifer Easley and husband, Eric, of Odessa, Jeremy Ellis of Gonzales, Charlie Ellis, Michael Joe Ellis and Austin Ellis, all of Odessa.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Jeremy Neil, Michael Joe, Charlie Daniel, Austin and friends, Bobby Ragsdale and Danny Wilson.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be rnade to Centers for Children and Families Endowment Fund - Gary Elllis Memorial, 600 N. Marienfield St., Suite 253, Midland 79701, Family Hospice or American Cancer Society.
