Charles "Jr." Babb of Odessa, Texas formally of Columbus, Kan. passed away January 7, 2010 at Sienna Care Center in Odessa, Texas.

Jr. was born June 11, 1930 in Moracco, Ind., the son of Charles E. and Eva (Mack) Babb.

He grew up in Columbus, Kan.

He married Emma Louise Shorter on July 2, 1949. They were married 60 years. She survives of Odessa, Texas.

Jr. worked for Kaiser Steel Corp. of Eagle Mtn. California from 1951 to 1977 when he retired due to medical reason.

After retirement they moved to Odessa to be near their oldest son.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles; mother, Eva; daughter Margaret Ann.

Beside his wife is survived by sons, Charles and wife Peggy, of Midland, Texas, and Michael and wife, Becky of Mesa, Ariz.; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Brother, Melvin Babb of Columbus, Ga.; sisters, Suzanna Sampley of Sun City, Calif., Lois Duncan of Parsons, Kan., Sara Martin of Columbus, Kan.; lots of nieces and nephews.

His brother Eddie Babb died on January 11, 2010.

Graveside services were held Monday, January 11, 2010 at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa, Texas.
