Ronald Eggleston 79, of Kaw City, Oklahoma passed away on May 6, 2015 at Winfield Senior Living Community in Winfield, Kansas.
A private graveside service for the family will be held. A memorial service for family and friends will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Tuesday at the Free Will Baptist Church, 1900 East Hubbard in Ponca City, Oklahoma. Visitation will be held Monday from 9:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Shelley Family Funeral Home, 803 Loomis in Winfield, Kansas. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Winfield Senior Living Community. Contributions can be left with the funeral home.
Ronald B. Eggleston was born on March 13, 1936 the son of Glenn and Florence Cundiff in Marshalltown, Iowa. He was a 1954 graduate of Marshalltown High School and earned his degree in Music Education from Wichita State University. On August 9, 1958 he was united in marriage with Judy Hentzen in Wichita, Kansas. Ron served as a police officer for the city of Wichita for over 21 years. Ron enjoyed shooting guns with his buddies and riding motorcycles.
Survivors include his wife Judy of the home, daughter, Jeannine Graham of Winfield, sons, Randall Eggleston and wife Joanne and Richard Eggleston both of Athens, GA, 4 grandchildren, Dustin Shuck, Andrea Moore and husband Dustin, Katharine and Andrew Eggleston, 3 great grandchildren Makynze, Milee and Logan Moore and sister Glenda Edwards and husband Bob of New Braunfels, TX.
Preceding him in death are his parents and grandson, Dustin Shuck and special dog Nikita.
