Andrew W. Davenport, 306 Loomis street, died Friday night at 11:30 o'clock at his home. He had been a resident of Winfield for 45 years.
Surviving Mr. Davenport are four sons and four daughters: Leo Davenport, Inman, Kan.; Mrs. Elsie Walters, Gering, Neb.; Mrs. Essie Champlain, Des Moines, Ia., and Mrs. Laura Warren, Clarence Davenport, Ross Davenport, Theodore Davenport and Mrs. Jessie Dobbs, all of Winfield.
Mr. Davenport was born May 5, 1856, in Illinois and was 74 years, three months and 17 days old. His wife died about 12 years ago. [NOTE: year in obit does not match gravestone]
Funeral arrangements have not been made as relatives here are attempting to locate one of the sons who went to Colorado several days ago. The time for the service will be announced later by the Morris funeral home.
