----FREDERICK,MARYLAND -- Mr. Forrest Earl Beahm, 89, died Friday, May 18, at 54 Apple Way, Frederick, the home of his sister, Elsie M. McGrady.

Born Feb. 23, 1912, in Oakton, Va., he was the eldest son of the late William Ernest and Edith G. Priest Beahm.

Mr. Beahm served in the Maryland National Guard in Cumberland and with the U.S. Army in World War II, stationed in Germany, France and England. He attained the rank of technical sergeant and received an honorable discharge in 1946.

He spent much of his life in New York, working mainly as headwaiter at the Copacabana, Stork Club and Hyde Park. He returned to Maryland in the 1960s.

Surviving in addition to his sister are nieces and nephews, William E. and Teresa D. Dorsey of Frederick, Norman B. Price II and Diane Harder of Laurel, Carl R. and Patricia A. McGrady of Boonsboro, and Nora J. Price and Mike Beall of Frederick; and numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, and great-great-nephews.

Mr. Beahm was preceded in death by a brother, William Archie Beahm, on May 18, 1998.

There will be no visiting or calling at the funeral home.

Graveside services and interment will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 23, in Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery, Allegany County.

Robert E. Dailey & Son Funeral Home, Frederick, is in charge of arrangements.
