Everett William Goodwin
Everett William Goodwin Jr., "Ebby," 68, of Bagley, passed away on Aug. 11 at Greensview Care Center in Bagley.

Everett was born on Oct. 26, 1938 in White Earth to Everett (Pat) Sr. and Lois Goodwin. He attended schools in Beaulieu and Mahnomen. He graduated in 1957, and then entered the U.S. Navy. In 1961, he married Dianna Sutherland. Everett was a graduate of the Wausau Technical Institute, earning
a degree in Printing and Journalism, and worked in that field for several years. Later he became an iron worker for a few years, before continuing his education. In 1977, he graduated from Bemidji State University with a degree in Fishery and Wildlife Biology. Everett worked for the Detroit Lakes Vocational school as a Fishery and Wildlife instructor for several years in White Earth and Red Lake before becoming a manager of several different
Fishery and Wildlife management programs on the White Earth Indian Reservation. He received numerous awards in this field. Everett retired his position in 2004 due to ill health.

Everett is survived by his wife of 46 years, Dianna, his son Everett III (Kellie); three daughters: Maggie (Rick) of Cass Lake, Shelley (Rich) of Minot, N.D., and Dawn (John) of Bagley; and eight grandchildren. He is also survived
by his mother, six brothers, four sisters, and many nieces and nephews.

Everett was preceded in death by his son, Christopher, his father, Everett Sr., two brothers and one sister.

Funeral services were held on Aug. 15 at the Sports Complex in Naytahwaush. A Sacred Fire burned throughout the wake and up until the funeral service.

Internment: Duane Cemetery in Duane, Minn.
