Here are the details for Dr H. C. Longnecker, my great grandfather. As there were at least 3 Henry Clay Longneckers in the 1800's its easy for mixups, particularly as there were several marriages between Longneckers and the Allentown Pa Lewis family. Sources were my late aunt Ruth (Longnecker) Pemberton, the family historian, and "History of the Longacre-Longaker-Longenecker Family published by the Lutheran Publication Society, Philadelphia, 1899." He is sometimes confused with his Uncle, (Rep) Henry Clay Longnecker (1820-1871) who married the sister, Mary Jane Lewis, of his nephew's wife. Lineage: Dr Henry Clay Longnecker, Matilda Longnecker, Henry Longnecker (1782-1837), Ulrich Longnecker Jr, Ulrich Longnecker (emigrated from Switzerland in 1733).
