Daughter of Sherman & Katherine (Swickard) Stuefer.
Grew up in Schuyler, attended rural and parochial elementary school; graduated from Schuyler High School, 1933.
Passed normal training, taught for seven years; then attended Kearney State Teachers College.
Married: June 25, 1941, to Harold Flory in Schuyler. He died Oct. 5, 1961.
With husband, farmed two miles north of Shelton; moved to a farm northwest of Shelton, 1944; after death of her husband, she and her children continued to farm the family farm.
Activities: member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Shelton, Sharon Club, Nebraska Angus Nebrels Association and the American Angus Association; enjoyed ceramics, cooking, canning, gardening, woodworking, sewing and embroidery.
Survivors include her son, Duane of Gibbon; daughters, Garnita Frazier and Jayne, both of Gibbon; brothers, Quay Stuefer of Columbus and Dayle and Gayle Stuefer, both of Lincoln; and sisters, Burdean Christ and Virginia Vohland, both of Grand Island; also grandchildren, Becky Teichmeier and Darla Gardner; and three great-grandsons.
Was preceded in death by her husband and her sisters, Violet Horn and Shirley Johannes.
