Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Litchfield Christian Church in Litchfield. The Rev. Joel Plisek will officiate.
Burial will be in the Litchfield Cemetery.
Gerald Dean Beck was born June 16, 1947, at Loup City to Irwin and Leona (Peterson) Beck.
He was educated in Litchfield and graduated from Litchfield High School in 1967. He graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1970 with a degree in Agricultural Education and Dairy Science.
He married Patricia Ann Petersen on June 7, 1970, in Aurora.
They made their home in Oakland where he taught vocational agriculture at the high school.
They moved to Litchfield in July 1972.
He operated the family-owned dairy.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Dads, Lads and Lassies.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, playing cards and especially his grandkids.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia, of Litchfield; sons, Ryan Beck of Litchfield and Aron Beck of Lincoln; daughters, Sara Cooper of Lincoln and Kelly Beck of Table Rock; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; father, Irwin Beck of Litchfield; and three brothers, Jack Beck of Omaha, Marvin Beck of Litchfield and Myron Beck of LaCresenta, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Leona; daughter-in-law, Angie Beck; and an infant son, Tracey.
