Ronald Vernon "Ron" Adams, 69, of Loup City died Monday, March 24, 2008, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. Ron was born Nov. 23, 1938, at Loup City to Vernon C. and Ruth A. (Quartz) Adams.

Survivors are: wife, Ruth Ann Adams; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Becky of Lake Park, Ga., and Rodney and Teresa of Panama City, Fla.; daughters and sons-in-law, Roxanne and Jeff Queen of Athens, Ga., and Michelle and Chris (Henry) Brown of North Las Vegas; sister and brother-in-law, Cleo and Don Phillips of Loup City; 12 grandchildren; nephew, Jeff Phillips; niece, Brittini Phillips; and mother-in-law, Ruth Henning of Lincoln.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents.

Ron grew up on a farm near Loup City, NE. and attended grade school at District 4 Hawk School and graduated from Loup City High School and then attended Omaha Business School. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1957 and was honorably discharged after serving 23 years with tours of duty in Okinawa, Guam, Korea and Vietnam. After retirement, he was a maintenance supervisor at Registar Tire in Georgia. On May 5, 1963, he married Ruth Ann Henning in Loup City. Ronald enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and woodworking.

Inurnment was in the Evergreen Cemetery, Loup City, NE.
