Inducted into the army in October of 1942,he lost his life in WWII action in North Africa as a member of Co A 39 Inf. He was a former employee of Providence Coal Mining Company and C.H. Ball's service station. Survivors included his mother Sallee Leeper,a sister, Mrs. Vernon Anderson of Murray KY.and a brother, Robert Leeper who lived in Shawnee, Okla.
