James Clemmon Edwards, 66, died at 12:30 a.m. Thursday at his home on Princeton street in Providence.
He was a son of the late Samuel and Nancy Edwards and was a veteran of World War I. He was married April 1, 1930 to Mrs. Eunice Hill, who survives.
Surviving besides the wife are two sisters, Mrs. Boyd Cole of Providence, and Mrs. Chester Bentley of St. Louis, Mo.; and two brothers, Will Edwards of Orlando, Fla., and Ed Edwards of Pasadena, Calif.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at Melton Funeral Home, with the Rev. R.T. Mitchell officiating.
Burial was in Lakeview cemetery.
