James C. Cobb, age 45, of Sun Prairie and New York City, NY, passed away in New York City on Sunday, Jan. 14, 1990 after a brief battle with cancer. He was born Dec. 15, 1944. He had spent the past 15 years in New York City as an artist/designer for Bonwit Teller, Valentine, Henry Bendel and Macy's Department Store. He is survived by his mother, Lucille Ullrich Cobb of Sun Prairie; his brother, John (Sandra) Cobb of Madison; two nephews, Joshua and John Cobb; and three nieces, Kimberly, Stacey, and Tiffany Swedberg. He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. C. A. Cobb on May 10, 1968. Cremation took place on Jan. 16, 1990 at the Rosehill Crematorium in Linden, NJ. Cremains have been returned to Sun Prairie for final resting. A memorial service will take place on Friday, Feb. 2 in New York City. A private memorial will be held at a later date for family and friends.
