Maxine Sparks Kavanaugh age 94 of Berea, died Tuesday April 7, 2009 at the St Joseph Berea Hospital. Maxine was a retired county school teacher and taught many years at Silver Creek elementary school. Maxine was a graduate of EKU where she received her Masters degree in education. Maxine is the daughter of the late George and Ella Martin Sparks, and was preceded in death by her brother Luther Sparks, sister Edna Sparks Todd. Maxine is survived by her brother Colin Sparks of Berea, and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
