Willard Paul Cornwell, Jr., 59, a resident of North Carolina and formerly of Cleveland, passed away Monday, October 16, 2006. He was a retired salesman and a veteran of the U. S. Navy having served during Vietnam. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gayle Cannon Cornwell in 2003; and his father, Willard Paul Cornwell, Sr.
Survivors include sons, Paul Cornwell III of Ayden, NC and his fiancee Carrie Williams of Morehead City, NC, and Chris Heath and his wife, Michelle of Winterville, NC; mother, Martha Isabelle Cornwell; sister Brenda Kelly and her husband Lee, all of Cleveland; and one grandson, Mike Bellah.
Funeral services and interment were held Friday in Ayden, NC.
A local memorial service will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Mountain View Church of God on Dalton Pike with Rev. Fred Mercer and Rev. Bennie Mills officiating.
