Mrs. Virgie Anna Dennis, 89, went to join her siblings in their heavenly home on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe W. Dennis.
Born to James Henry and Virgie Anna McLawhorn, she was the last surviving of 12 children. She leaves behind two daughters, Vivian Ann Walthall and husband, David B. III, MD, of Waynesboro, Va. and Virgie Kay Baker and husband, William C., of Garner; three grandchildren, Lynette B. Mizell and husband, Andrew J. Sr., of Newport News, Va., Dennis M. Baker, also of Newport News, Va., and Diane S. Robinson of Charleston, S.C.; six great-grandchildren, Randy C. R. Robinson, David Z. Robinson, James "Jay" Wilson, Caroline M. Mizell, Jenna R. Mizell, and Andrew J. Mizell Jr.; and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Farmer Funeral Home in Ayden. Please join the family in the funeral home chapel at 1 p.m. for a memorial service. Burial will follow at Winterville Cemetery.
