William J. Arsenault of Salem, NH died on a Saturday at the Methuen Health & Rehab of Methuen, MA at the age of 79.
He was born in Lawrence, where he grew up and attended schools.
He was a resident of Salem for the past four years, formerly of Methuen, where he was a longtime resident.
Mr. Arsenault was a supervisor for the Town of Methuen, where he worked for the tree department.
He was a member of St. Lucy's Catholic Church in Methuen, and was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving during World War II.
He enjoyed woodworking, crafts and gardening.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Ethel "Sue" (Campbell) Arsenault; two sisters, Dora Atkinson and Gladys Koza; sister-in-law Marion R. Snow and several neices and nephews.
Arrangements were by the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main Street, Salem, NH, were a memorial service was held Wednesday, April 18 at 2:30 p.m. There were no calling hours.
