               YOUNG MAN ELECTROCUTED
                                -------
            Deplorable Accident at Beckley Slope
                           Thursday Night.
                                -------

The little town of Mabscott and the surrounding communities as well, was inexpressably shocked and grieved when the news was received tht Mr. Fred Combs, son of Mrs. George Combs had met death by electrocution in Beckley Slope mines, between 10 and 11 o'clock Thursday night, making a triple tragedy occurring in the Combs family within the last few years.

Six years ago the father was killed by a passenger train near Surveyor and later another son was killed in the Eccles' explosion of 1914.

Young Mr. Combs was residing with his widowed mother and one brother and one sister at Mabscott. Also a married sister at Hinton survives him.

He was about 25 years of age and industrious, well respected and esteemed by all who knew him.

The funeral will take place Sunday from Mabscott, interment taking place in the family lot at Mt. Tabor.

H. T. Calfee & Son are the undertakers in charge.
