CHAPIN- Every night, the witty and courageous; ever so cute Haley (age 3), would spend time making up songs about Jesus and singing them at the top of her precious little lungs; On June 29, 2009, her song was heard in Heaven.
Haley was born in Columbia, SC, daughter of Craig and Crystal Hewitt. She was a part of the Children's Program at Chapin Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing, swimming and tubing at the lake; dancing and singing with her family; catching bugs in the backyard; playing with her favorite baby doll Audrey; cooking in her little kitchen; playing dressing up; She also enjoyed getting her hair fixed and nails/toes painted pink, just like her mama. During nighttime prayers, she thanked God for everything, even polka dots and hair bows! She was a great little sister who loved and admired her older brother, Parker.
The ones who met Haley at the gates of Heaven were her maternal great-granddaddy, David E. Fore Sr. (Pop); her maternal great-grandma, Cleo Fore and her paternal great-granddaddy, Milton E. Hornsby Jr.
Many will truly miss Haley... mostly her dad and mom: Craig and Crystal Hewitt; aunts and uncles, Kim Hewitt, Tiffany Fore, Lacey Fore, Matthew (Courtney) Fore; cousin, Anna Fore; maternal grandparents, Phillip and Millie Fore; paternal grandparents, Trish (Laurin) Stevens and Rick (Grace) Hewitt; maternal great-grandparents, Audell and Rosemary Craft; paternal great-grandparents, Frances Hewitt, Charles Hewitt and Virginia Hornsby and everyone who met her!
Funeral services will be held at Chapin Baptist Church on Friday, July 10 at 2:00 pm. Visitation to follow; everyone is welcome. Officiating the service will be Ken Kelly, Pastor of Chapin Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made towards the REACH fund at Chapin Baptist Church. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Chapin Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
