COLUMBIA - Funeral service for Ophelia Allen Boley, 89, of Columbia will be held at 2 o'clock this (Saturday) afternoon, May 26, 2001 in Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, conducted by the Rev. J. O. Reed Jr. and Bishop Hiram S. Allen III. Interment will be in Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Mid-State South Carolina Chapter, P.O. Box 7044, Columbia, SC 29204-7044.

Mrs. Boley died Thursday, May 24, 2001. Born in Richland County, she was a daughter of the late Marion Howard Allen and Elizabeth Bell Cooper Allen. She was educated in Columbia Schools and was a retired beautician. Mrs. Boley was a member of Northside Baptist Church and of the Daughters of American Revolution.

Survivors are a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Boley was predeceased by sisters, Rachel Martin and Helen Varnadore and brothers, Glen, John, Tom, Robert, Fred and Melvin Martin. She was the last survivor of her immediate family. The family wishes to thank all the staff and residents of Asbury Arms, West Columbia and the staff of the Courtland House of Eastover for their loving care which was given.
