A funeral Mass was said at 10 a.m. July 30 in Immeculate Conception Church in Madonaville, Father E. Periak officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Quernheim Funeral Directors were in charge.
Mrs. Melching was born Nov. 8, 1920, in Harrisonville, a daughter of the late William and Catherine Duester, nee Engel.
She is survived by her husband; three sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Karen Melching, Waterloo; Stanley and Tyana Melching, Knobnoster, Mo., and Glenn and Sharon Melching, Columbia; four grandchildren, a sister, Marie Suemnicht, Waterloo; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
