He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was employed as a crane operator at Armco Steel for 37 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, eight brothers and one sister. He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret Cummins; his sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie Lynn and Valarie Cummins, Kenneth and Loyce Cummins; his daughter and son-in-law, Lavern and Paul Umphries; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; five brothers and a sister.
