A native of Manacor, Baleares, Spain, Father Lorenzo Galmés Más joined the Order of Preachers in 1939, and after concluding his studies at the Estudio General of the Dominican Order of Valencia, he pursued further studies at the University of Valencia, earning a licentiate and doctorate in history.

Longtime professor of Church History at the Theological Faculty of San Vicente Ferrer of Valencia, Father Lorenzo authored a number of publications, including "Francisco Coll y Guitart, O.P. (1812 - 1875), vida y obras"; "Cinquanta anys trepipjant camins de Catalunya"; "Bartolomé de las Casas. Defensor de los derechos humanos"; "Testigos de la fe en la Iglesia de España"; and "Fray Junípero Serra".

Father Lorenzo spent his last years at the Santa Catalina convent in Barcelona, where he passed away on November 1, 2006.
