Mrs. Nellie K. Saum

Graveside services for Nellie K. Saum, Mt. Vernon, Indiana, formerly of Princeton, were held Tuesday, April 10, at 2 p.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Alexander West Funeral Home Evansville, with the Rev. Shane O'Neill officiating.

Mrs. Saum, age 58, died April 7, at 7 a.m. at her home after a long illness.

A patrol mother for the Evansville Police Department, she was born February 6, 1932, the daughter of the late Clarence A. and Louard E. Milstead Oliver. She was a member of Central Presbyterian Church, in Princeton, and the V.F.W. Auxiliary, Post 1114 in Evansville.

Roy Saum; four sons, Thomas Saum, of Mt. Vernon, Allen Saum and John Saum, of Evansville, and Timothy Saum, with the U.S. Army in Germany; four daughters, Joyce Fortman, Evansville, Sherrie Badger, Rose Wolf, and Amanda Price, of Daleville, Alabama; 12 grandchildren, and two brothers John C. Oliver, of Fayetteville, N.C. and Gene Oliver, of Ft. Bragg, N.C.

She was preceded in death by a brother David Allen Oliver
