REV. SIDNEY LEARN FLYNN, 62, of Horn Lake (Mississippi) passed away June 29, 2007 at Methodist South Hospital (Memphis, TN). He retired as Chief Petty Officer with 25 years in U.S. Navy and a retiree from the U.S. Postal Services. Visitation from 7-9 p.m. Friday, July 6 at N. J. Ford & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral services at 12 p.m. Saturday, July 7 at Brown Baptist Church in Southaven. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday, July 9 in the West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. Widower of Cleo Flynn; three daughters, Nina M. Echols (Rodney), Yoland M. Gunn and Sheena L. Flynn all of Memphis; a son, Bobby Herod, Jr. (Linnie) of Atlanta, GA; five sisters, Charlene Conard, Shirley Cox (Willie), Marie Gilliespie, Faye Ingram (Ike) and Marcella Pilgrim all of Memphis; three brothers, Weldon Earl Flynn, Lavern Flynn and Stanford Flynn all of Memphis; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
