She graduated from Holy Spirit High School in Atlantic City.
She held different positions during her working career ending with her many years at Resorts Hotel & Casino at the age of 74.
She was a dancer who entertained at many places. One of her fondest memories was the Hotel Haddon Hall in Atlantic City during World War II, which served as a military hospital for injured soldiers. Later in life she was known as dancing Betty at Sunrise of Galloway.
Betty was a gifted seamstress who loved making beautiful outfits, costumes and holiday decor for family and friends. She won many awards for her efforts. Some of the other things she loved were walking, bowling, playing cards, sweets and her favorite, spending time with her grandchildren.
Predeceased by her beloved husband George, mother and father Margueretta and Emanuel, brothers David and Rudy Eckstein, sister Marie Derosiers, daughter-in-law Margie Conover and grandson David Conover.
She leaves behind her loving family and many cherished memories: four daughters and one son; a special niece who was a sister to her; 13 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Josephs Church, 606 Shore Road Somers Point. Burial will follow at Absecon Methodist Cemetery 100 Pitney Rd.
