Mrs. Blackwell passed away at the age of 93 years 7 months 17 days.
Funeral services were held at the Emmaus Baptist Church in OKC with the Reverend Mike Booth, the Reverend Fred Hambrick officiating and grandson Jonathan Irwin speaking. Casket Bearers were her grandsons and Honorary Bearers were her granddaughters.
Gwendola lived on the family farm until 3 Sept 1938 when she was united with Claude "Jody" Blackwell and to this union they were blessed with six children. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and working in the yard and flower beds.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Henry and Carrie (York) Wade;
husband Claude; 1 daughter, Jonell Orr; her parents; 5 siblings, Hilton and Weldon Wade, Clemmie Vickers, Wanetta VanSchuyver and Jean Weaver and two sons-in-law, James Orr and Dale Teel.
Survivors include her 5 children, Karen Joy Teel, Iris Irwin, Claudie and Joe Blackwell and Brenda Krausse. She was known as Mama to her 15 grandchildren, Ilene Orr Smith, Rodney, Bobby and Carrie Orr, Chris Percival, Alvin Eugene, Tim and Johnathan Irwin, Kent, Jeremy, Joe and Jason Blackwell, Mark and Donnie Reeves, and Susan Gullion and 31 great-grandchildren.
