William Asa Fisher was born January 10, 1896. He is the son of the late Charles B. Fisher and Elizabeth Wagner Fisher. William was born in Monroe Township, Snyder County. William married Florence Mae Lash on April 11, 1921. They soon started having a family. They're children were Clair P. Lash born on April 12,1918 and died February 1, 1995; William C. FIsher; Elizabeth J. Fisher Bearly; Arlene M. Fisher born 1923 died 1929 (diptheria); Ralph R. Fisher; Barbara Fisher Bobst; and Robert J. Fisher (my grandfather). From stories I have been told My great grandfather was a kind patient man who was a loving husband, devoted father, and caring friend. May peace always be with you.
Don't grieve for me, now I'm free. I'm following the path god laid for me. I took his hand when I heard him call, I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, to laugh, to love, to work or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way.
