He owned and operated Union Auto Parts in Mount Union, PA, for 39 years.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran who served in World War II and was discharged in 1946.

He attended McVeytown High School. He was a past member of the Allenport Lions Club and a member of the Strodes Mills Baptist Church where he served on the board and as treasurer and Sunday School teacher. He also held various other church offices.

Interment in Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown, Mifflin, PA.
