This grave is reported in Greene County, Missouri Cemeteries, Vol. VIII, p. 32. Rebecca is buried next to her parents, Edward and Penelope Blades. She married Tobias B. Batson on 23 Sep 1851, and by the time of the 1860 census the couple had 4 children at home: Thomas M. (b. abt. 1854), Isaac (b. abt. 1855), John (b. abt. 1858), and Nancy E. (b. abt. Jan 1860). According to her tombstone, she was 30 at the time of her death in 1863, so she would have been born about 1833.
