Mrs. Sidney Conger Grinolds Penn, 69, passed away at her home.

Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, September 6, in the chapel of Hancock Funeral Home with Brother Don Musgrave officiating.

Active pallbearers were Chuck Stewart, Jamie Conger, Bengy Conger, Glenn Penn, Pat Penn, and Glenn West. Honorary pallbearers were Matthew Grinolds, Henry Salter, Chad Pilcher, Alex Penn, and Shelby Penn.

Penn was a daughter of the late Benjamin Dow Conger and Lillie Mae Barfield Conger.

She was a member of the Church of Christ and served as a waitress in several restaurants in Americus before retiring in 2002 from her position as the manager of the Huddle House.

Survivors include her husband, Nelson Penn of Americus; a son, Tony Grinolds of Americus; a brother James Conger; grandchildren, great grandchildren, step children, and a relative of honorable mention, Norman "Dad" Gaspard of Lynn Haven, FL. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Terri Jackson, and a son, Larry Grinolds.
